Knowledge Hungry

If all of our human understanding,

if all of our knowledge will not suffice,

What will we think of oneself?

What trait will we spread unto the world?

Will determination succeed,

above our laziness?

How will our future pronounce itself?

How will our hungry children survive?

If we strive for knowledge,

seeming as it were never to be attained,

What will come about to hinder us?
